Executive board meeting- April 6, 2006

Present:   Mike Furnstahl, Anne McKeig, Jim Appleby, Laura Floistad,  Amy Sweasy, John Halla, Diane Krenz, Geoff Isaacman, Barb Isaacman, Sonny Anderson, Therese Lockwood, Ernie Dial, Jeanne Werenicz

Excused:   Burdorf, Pohler, and Charles.

Steward Report:

• a written reprimand was grieved to an oral reprimand
• an employee in EA was given a letter regarding dignity and respect in the workplace which was then sent out all all employees.   No disciplinary action was taken.
• there is investigators issues in the PD’s office that will need to have a meet and confer once the issues are clearly outlined.  

New Business:

-Please pass onto member’s information about pensions and what is happening at the legislature- encourage members to call their representatives to leave pensions as is.  

There is a summer leadership conference June 16 th and 17 th

• In August- the AFL-CIO/AFSME conventions will be occurring.
• The international convention is in Chicago- should send local delegates to this convention where they will vote on international president.

Last months minutes as amended adopted and passed   

            Amendments to March minutes:   Diane Krenz was present at the March meeting

            and corrected spelling of Judith Hawley.

Old Business:  

-discussion regarding constitution which has elections occurring in September.   Proposal to amend elections to be held in the month of May.   Proposed amendment was read at the meeting and presented in writing to all members present.

- next meeting will vote on amendment to the constitution

Reminder of upcoming meeting with the County Attorney regarding union issues- meeting will be held on April 19 th at 3:00.   Committee who will be attending the meeting shall meet and come up with list of concerns to be discussed at the meeting.
